Mera Mann,
Founder and Matchmaker
Mera has successfully built a well-established business, career and market leading reputation on professional matchmaking of a different guise: recruitment.
She has led her recruitment business since 2001 and has consistently matched hundreds of vetted candidates to their dream roles applying the undeniably similar principles to that of matching people to people. Both recruitment and matchmaking involve thorough screening to assess suitability or potential matches. Similarly, this selection criteria often includes intellect, educational background, emotional intelligence, personal interests, values, compatibility and geographical location.
Whether it’s identifying what makes someone tick or getting to the nitty gritty of what’s really holding them back, Mera’s honesty and confidence in 30+ years of recruitment and her passion for people allows her to build the trust required to get to know the real person.
Like so many others, Mera is totally turned off by dating apps having heard endless horror stories and tales of heartbreak. Speaking to friends the same question kept coming up: “where do we find the genuine people?”
Never one to be put off by a challenge, Mera decided to create a space specifically for these people. One that would make dating fun, meaningful and safe. And so, Smitten was born.

Grace boasts an impressive 10 year background in marketing coupled with vast experience in specialised event management. Despite personally building a business centred around digital marketing, she believes nothing can replace real-life human interaction and connection and is instrumental in passionately supporting the Smitten team.
Grace’s integral role at Smitten is dedicated to the successful delivery and smooth running of our mixers, ensuring everyone feels welcome, comfortable and confident. She is present at events and on-hand as a friendly, familiar face, offering support if needed and assistance with those all-important introductions.
